Logo1This week we witnessed the passing of a great leader – Ed Koch, ex-mayor of New York City. His accomplishments have been many and well documented.

I have used one of his quotes in many of my workshops and I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you.

When someone once asked him to explain his success in making significant improvements in New York, he simply replied; “I make absolutely sure nothing creative or important is ever identified as my idea.”

My leadership tip this week is to remind you of the importance of leading with humility.

By leading with humility, you will earn trust and respect … and with that comes loyal dedicated followers who will help you achieve your vision and mission.

Plus giving credit where credit is due, is the right thing to do.
